Mec Yek takes Roma music somewhere unexpected. Built around the powerful voices of Katia & Milka Pohlodkova and musicians from Jaune Toujours, the band connects Slovak Roma roots with ska, jazz, rock, tarantella and whatever else crosses their path.

Singing mainly in Romanes, Mec Yek celebrates more than 20 years of musical friendship while steering clear of the usual clichés.
